DESCRIPTION
 
GWRDC is an Australian Government statutory authority that was established in 1991 under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989, (PIERD Act). Governed by a Board of Directors, its national operations are directed from its Adelaide office.
GWRDC’s mission is to generate new information that enhances the profitability, international competitiveness and sustainability of the Australian grape and wine sector through investment in research, development and extension RD&E).
GWRDC has a PhD and Masters scholarship program to help attract postgraduate students to the fields of wine, viticulture and wine business research.
 
BENEFITS
 
The program offers supplementary or full scholarships, the number and value of which are at the discretion of the GWRDC.For full-time PhD or Masters study, PhD and Masters full scholarships provide up to $30,000 (GST exclusive) per annum in a student stipend, and $10,000 (GST exclusive) per annum in operating funds.
 
ELIGIBILITY
 
Students with an impressive academic record and support from their university are eligible to apply. Overseas applicants are eligible but must be enrolled at an Australian university.
